FAQ’s that Vetwebsites has been asked by Vets and Practice Managers
When will our new site be ready?
We will only be taking on new practice websites at the end of April 2017.
Your name will be added to our waiting list and we can only fully search engine optimise a practice website that does not fall into one of the areas we already cover.
Why is there such a difference in pricing for practice websites?
If you were to pop into your local web designer company down the road who develop sites for all the local companies, expect a quote of a few thousand pounds for a fully mobile responsive modern practice website.
You would get a quality website done very professionally, but just be aware that sometimes the site is so advanced that it is very difficult to make any changes yourself and you will be dependent on their services to keep it updated. These will also vary in price, but equally be very expensive. Also make sure that the competition in your town is not using the same web developer, as they cannot offer a level of fair search engine optimisation to two local practices.
The other extremes are the free practice websites offered by Merial. They are mobile responsive, but again, it is necessary for members in your team to find the time and have the know how to keep the site up to date.
Companies like Vetwebsites and Webpartner fall in between where we offer ongoing maintenance and a new fully responsive site for less than the local web developer, but more than the Merial offer!
Just because we do not quote the exorbitant prices quoted by web design companies means we do not offer the same quality work – we do at a very affordable price, with possibly even extra content added in as veterinary websites is all we do!
Do you do sites for corporate practices or only independent practices?
Vetwebsites is a small business started with the passion of one person competing against the big players in web design, so I see myself as a staunch supporter of independent practices and businesses.
I am passionate about making independent practice websites that stand out from the corporate websites with far more personal details in the form of a Blog to make the website the leader in pet information in the area.
This is lacking in corporate websites as the vets cannot access them – they are all managed by a web design firm who dictate what they put on their site and only use information about the corporate; not about the individual practice.
We have an expensive new practice website but no one knows how to access it to update latest news - can you help?
Yes, Vetwebsites is committed to keeping the highest standard for a practice website, and if you have a new site and it is not being updated regularly with a latest news Blog, then it will not stay popular and keep its high Google rankings.
As long as we are able to access the site in WordPress, we can set up a latest news page and keep the website fully up to date, even if we have not designed your site for you.
How long will it take to build my new practice site?
As soon as all the relevant information has been sent to us – images, content and logo; we are able to have a new fully responsive and search engine optimised website set up within 2 weeks.
